  • Frk could miss a week with a lower-body injury, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports. A low-end scoring winger who packs a booming shot, Frk was limited to 7:18 of ice time in Saturday's shootout loss to the Blue Jackets, with that level of rink run being close to a season low. As far as replacement options, coach Jeff Blashill could give more playing time to David Booth or the physical Luke Witkowski, who's capable of playing on the back end or at a winger spot.

  • Frk scored his fourth goal of the season and added an assist in Sunday's win over the Oilers. Frk only skated 11:11 in the victory, but he made the most of it, boosting his point total to seven on the season. The Czech sniper is in a unique situation, as he plays on the fourth line, but sees second-unit power-play time. Frk has shown he can be a quality sniper, so look for him to continue finding the back of the net at a decent rate. He's putting up impressive totals given his ice time, so if he gets better linemates, Frk could really be one to monitor.

  • Red Wings' Martin Frk: Cold as ice

Frk has now gone eight consecutive games without recording a point. The Czech winger finds himself in a unique role, as he's a fourth-liner who still gets consistent run with the secondary power-play corps. Frk, a rookie, had dropped jaws by scoring three goals in his first four games, but that obviously wasn't going to be a sustainable rate of production. Once fiery two-way prospect Tyler Bertuzzi (wrist) gets healthy, it wouldn't be surprising to see him replace Frk on Detroit's roster.

  • Red Wings' Martin Frk: Detroit's top scorer

Frk delivered his third goal of the season in Thursday's 4-2 road win over the Coyotes. The Czech winger currently leads the team in scoring. Sure, it's early, but it's worth noting that he might not have broken camp with the parent club had it not been for a wrist injury to Tyler Bertuzzi. For the time being, it's worth checking daily fantasy sites to see whether Frk's price is low by virtue of being a rookie; if so, he could be a real bargain based on how he's performed in the early going.

  • Red Wings' Martin Frk: Pots second goal
    By RotoWire Staff

Frk scored his second goal of the season in Saturday's 2-1 shootout road win over the Senators. Consider perusing your waiver wire to see if Frk is available. The Czech skater produced back-to-back, 27-goal campaigns with AHL Grand Rapids before claiming a roster spot out of training camp with the parent club this season. Had Tyler Bertuzzi not sustained a wrist injury, he probably would've given Frk a run for his money in camp, but the latter rookie is more than holding his own in the early going.
