  • Penguins' Kevin Czuczman: Brought up to NHL
    By RotoWire Staff

Czuczman was recalled from AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Saturday, Seth Rorabaugh of The Athletic Pittsburgh reports. The Penguins are searching for the right combination of defensemen on the third pair with the back line shaken up by Justin Schultz's lower-body ailment. Frank Corrado was originally in consideration, but he ended up trading places with Czuczman, who hasn't appeared in an NHL game since dressing with the Panthers in the 2013-14 campaign. It's difficult to spell this guy's last name, yet ignoring him in fantasy is a no-brainer.

  • Penguins' Kevin Czuczman: Waived for reassignment
    By RotoWire Staff

Czuczman was placed on waivers Tuesday in order to reassign him to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton , James Mirtle of The Athletic reports. Czuczman would have needed a phenomenal camp in order to win a spot on the 23-man roster, so it should come as no surprise that the organization decided to move him down to the minors. The 26-year-old last appeared in an NHL contest during the 2013-14 season, when he was with the Islanders and notched a pair of helpers in 13 contests. While he does have offensive upside, the Pens' depth on the blue line all but guarantees the London, Ontario, native will spend the entire year with the Baby Pens.

  • Czuczman put pen to paper on a one-year, two-way deal with Pittsburgh on Tuesday. Czuczman last suited up in an NHL game during the 2013-14 season with the Islanders. In those contests, the blueliner garnered two points, 14 PIM and a minus-5 rating. Since then, the 26-year-old has spent his time primarily in the AHL, where he figures to begin the 2017-18 campaign. Undrafted coming out of Lake Superior State University, Czuczman could be in line for the occasional call-up this year, but he's unlikely to secure a regular spot on the 23-man roster, limiting his fantasy value.

  • Jets' Kevin Czuczman: Still looking for NHL contract
    By RotoWire Staff

Czuczman remains unsigned but led all AHL Manitoba defensemen in scoring during the 2016-17 campaign. Of the nine goals registered by Czuczman for the Moose, six of them came with the man advantage. In addition to his markers, the blueliner added 23 helpers and 48 PIM in 76 contests. The 26-year-old was last under contract with an NHL club during the 2014-15 season, when he was with the Islanders organization. Given his output this year, it seems likely Czuczman has done enough to earn a two-way deal somewhere in the league if not with Winnipeg.

  • Jets' Kevin Czuczman: Joins camp on PTO
    By RotoWire Staff

Czuczman will take part in Jets training camp after signing a professional tryout agreement. Czuczman went undrafted coming out of Lake Superior State University before joining the Islanders' organization where he made his NHL debut during the 2013-14 season. Last year with AHL Bridgeport, the blueliner recorded four goals and 11 helpers along with 95 PIM in 74 contests. While the 25-year-old may be a long shot to make the Jets roster, he could show enough in camp to earn a two-way contract.
