Mayo secured a one-year, two-way contract from Arizona on Tuesday. Mayo -- who was selected by the Yotes in the fifth round of the 2014 NHL Draft -- notched four goals and eight helpers in 58 contests with AHL Tucson this season. The 23-year-old blueliner won't offer much in terms of offensive output, so fantasy owners don't need to be jumping to get him onto the dynasty teams.
Mayo signed a one-year, two-way deal with Arizona on Monday. Mayo recorded just two goals and six points in 67 games with AHL Tucson last season and has yet to make his NHL debut. The 22-year-old blueliner will likely spend most o the 2019-20 season at the minor-league level again and won't have much fantasy value if he does earn an NHL promotion.
The Coyotes sent Mayo a qualifying offer Tuesday. Mayo was with AHL Tucson for the entirety of the 2018-19 campaign, tallying six points while posting a minus-3 rating in 67 games. The 2014 fifth-round pick will likely have a similar role within Arizona's organization in 2019-20.
