Acciari scored a goal on five shots and handed out three hits in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win over Detroit. Acciari knotted the game at 1-1 with 8:05 left in the first period, cleaning up an errant Carter Verhaeghe wraparound attempt. The goal, Acciari's first since his March 6 hat trick, snapped a 13-game drought for the 29-year-old.
Acciari provided two assists, three shots on net, three blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over the Stars. Acciari set up both of Carter Verhaeghe's first-period tallies, the latter coming on the power play. Saturday was the second time in three games Acciari put up a pair of assists. He's filled in a top-six role with Aleksander Barkov (lower body) out. For the year, the 29-year-old Acciari has 10 points, 41 shots, 55 hits, 36 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating in 26 appearances.
Acciari collected two assists and three shots in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to Chicago. He also dished out a pair of hits and won a dominant 77.3 percent (17-of-22) of his faceoffs. Acciari displayed some nifty stickhandling in tight before dishing across the crease to Anton Stralman for Florida's first goal midway through the second period. He also set up Alexander Wennberg's power-play tally in the closing minutes of regulation. Acciari has eight points (three goals, five assists) on the year, with all of them coming over his last 10 games.
Acciari scored three goals Saturday in a 6-2 victory over the Predators. It was his third career hat trick. Acciari entered the game looking for his first point of the season and he notched a hattie. The first came on a 2-on-1 after he got around defender Mattias Ekholm and fired it glove side. The second was a sweet rebound after he aggressively pursued the puck. Acciari's third came on the power play late in the third. He's a bit of a fantasy spare part, but remember he did pound in 20 goals in a Cy Young season last year (20 goals, seven assists). Nice night.
Acciari (upper body) will be in action against the Hurricanes on Monday, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports. With Anthony Duclair (undisclosed) set to miss some time, Acciari will be activated off injured reserve prior to puck drop and slot into a fourth-line role. Prior to getting hurt, the 29-year-old winger has yet to register a point despite averaging 14:37 of ice time in 12 games. As such, fantasy players probably shouldn't be banking on significant offensive production from Acciari moving forward.
