Rodrigues earned $650,000 in 2018-19 after appearing in 74 games and logging nine goals, 20 assists, 168 shots and almost two more minutes of ice time per game compared to 2017-18. The 25-year-old could see another increase to his role next season as he gains more experience.

Last season saw the 25-year-old average 15:49 TOI, nearly two minutes higher than his previous career high in that category.
Rodrigues picked up two assists in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Predators. The first two times the Sabres fell behind, Rodrigues helped set up the tying goal late in the period, but he ran out of time to do the same in the third period. The 25-year-old had only one point (a goal) in his prior 10 games, but his nine goals and 29 points on the season are still career highs.
Rodrigues (upper body) will be in Sunday's lineup against Columbus, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports. Rodrigues missed the last two games and has just six points in his last 22 games. The 25-year-old has 27 points in 70 games after scoring 25 points in just 48 games during the 2017-18 campaign.
