  Lindgren was reassigned from AHL Laval to the Canadiens' taxi squad Wednesday, per CBS Sports. Lindgren was sent to the minors Tuesday, but is back with the taxi squad as the No. 3 option behind Carey Price and Jake Allen. It's a role Lindgren will likely fill for most of the 2020-21 campaign.

  Lindgren was assigned to AHL Laval on Tuesday, per TSN. Lindgren and Cayden Primeau swapped places with the move. Lindgren could see some playing time in the minors, but the 27-year-old is better suited to serving as emergency depth on the taxi squad, while Primeau needs the development time in Laval. Expect the two to switch roles again in the future.

  The Canadiens added Lindgren to the taxi squad Monday, Matt Cudzinowski of the Canadiens' official site reports. As expected, Montreal is making Lindgren its third goalie to open the season. Coach Claude Julien has expressed a desire to give starter Carey Price ample rest this season, so Lindgren could serve as the backup to Jake Allen on the active roster at times.
