He's bidding to reach the 30-goal clip for the fourth time in as man seasons and, with 63 points in 68 games, has a chance to surpass the career-high 70 he had as a sophomore in 2017-18. Laine has points in three straight games, collecting two goals and two assists.

  • Laine recorded one assist, two shots and one hit versus Arizona on Monday. Laine appears to have bounced back from his four-game pointless streak with points in his previous two appearances. The Finnish winger has racked up 62 points in 67 contests this year and should be capable of reaching the 70-point mark for the second time in his four-year NHL career.

  • Laine (foot) will be in action versus the Sabres on Tuesday, Mitchell Clinton of JetsTV reports. Laine figures to resume a top-six role in addition to re-joining the top power-play unit. The Finnish winger has racked up 26 goals and 33 helpers in 64 games this year and should still be capable of reaching the 30-goal and 70-point thresholds.

  • Head coach Paul Maurice said Laine (foot) is expected to skate Tuesday morning, Mitchell Clinton of JetsTV reports. Maurice elaborated that Laine's dealing with a bruised foot, and the team wants the swelling to go down before returning him to game action. The Jets play Tuesday against the Sabres, so Laine will likely be evaluated following morning skate to see if he'll be available. The 21-year-old shouldn't be out much longer if he can't go, and he'll be instrumental to the team's playoff push, as he's racked up 26 goals and 33 helpers over 64 games.

  • Laine (foot) won't play in Saturday's game versus the Oilers, Ken Wiebe of The Athletic reports. Laine missed morning skate, but coach Paul Maurice relayed that the sniper is still day-to-day. This will be a big loss for the Jets as they push for a playoff spot, as Laine has produced 26 goals and 33 assists this season. Mason Appleton is expected to bump into the top six in Laine's place.
