  • The Blues placed Kostin (upper body) on long-term injured reserve Sunday, Jeremy Rutherford of The Athletic reports. The forward will miss no fewer than 10 games with the upper-body injury, which forced his exit from Saturday's game against Columbus. Thus, the soonest he could return will be Dec. 21. Kostin has tallied a pair of goals and three assists in 18 games this season.

  • Kostin (upper body) won't return to the lineup Saturday versus the Blue Jackets, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports. The Blues' forward depth will be tested Saturday, as David Perron (upper body) is also out. Kostin's next chance to return will be Tuesday versus the Lightning, but there's been no timeline given yet. More information on Kostin's status should surface Sunday if the Blues hold a practice session.

  • Kostin is dealing with an upper-body injury and did not play Friday against Chicago, Jim Thomas of The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. Kostin had played in all but one of the team's 19 games this season and was a surprise scratch against Chicago. Look for further info regarding his timetable for a return ahead of Saturday's game against visiting Columbus.

  • Kostin recorded an assist, two shots on goal and two PIM in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Sharks. Kostin helped out on an all-Russian goal, sending a pass to Ivan Barbashev, who then set up Pavel Buchnevich's second-period goal. The assist snapped a four-game point drought for Kostin, who now has two goals and two helpers in eight contests. The 22-year-old winger has added 12 shots, eight PIM and 27 hits in a bottom-six role.

  • Kostin notched an assist and four hits in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Kings. Kostin had a hand in the second of David Perron's three goals in the contest. Despite a first-line assignment at even strength, Kostin's overall usage is more representative of a bottom-six forward. He has two goals, one assist, six shots on net, 12 hits and four PIM through three contests, but he's likely just keeping a seat warm for Brandon Saad (COVID-19 protocols). When the Blues' lineup is fully healthy, it's unlikely Kostin plays above the third line.
