  • Jeremy Bracco: Waived unconditionally

The Hurricanes placed Bracco on unconditional waivers for the purpose of terminating his contract Tuesday, Michael Smith of the Hurricanes' official site reports. Bracco has signed a deal to join KalPa of Finland's Liiga for the rest of the 2020-21 campaign, so this news doesn't come as a surprise. The 23-year-old winger played well in the minors last season, picking up 34 points in 44 games with AHL Toronto, but he's been unable to break into the NHL since being selected by the Maple Leafs in the second round of the 2015 draft.

  • Hurricanes' Jeremy Bracco: Loaned to Finnish club

The Hurricanes have loaned Bracco to KalPa of Finland's Liiga for the remainder of the 2020-21 season. Bracco, who was waived by Carolina on Jan. 9, will head overseas rather than to the Hurricanes' AHL affiliate to continue his development. The 23-year-old winger racked up four goals and 34 points in 44 games with AHL Toronto last campaign.

  • Hurricanes' Jeremy Bracco: On waivers list

The Hurricanes placed Bracco on waivers Friday, TSN.ca reports. Bracco recorded four goals and 34 points in 44 games with AHL Toronto last season, so there's a decent chance he could be part of the Canes' taxi squad this year if he clears waivers.

  • Hurricanes' Jeremy Bracco: Pens deal with Carolina

Bracco signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Hurricanes on Friday. Bracco spent the 2019-20 season with AHL Toronto, racking up four goals and 34 points in 44 contests. He'll likely spend the majority of the upcoming campaign in the minors, so he won't be a viable fantasy option in.

  • Jeremy Bracco: Not qualified by Leafs

Bracco was not qualified by the Maple Leafs and will be a UFA on Friday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. Bracco has yet to make his NHL debut after he was the 61st overall pick in 2015. The 23-year-old winger has racked up 32 goals and 145 points as a playmaker with AHL Toronto. He will likely have to settle for a two-way deal at best.

  • Maple Leafs' Jeremy Bracco: Back with Marlies

Bracco has rejoined the Marlies after a personal leave from the squad, Kevin McGran of The Toronto Star reports. Bracco is still awaiting his NHL debut but has compiled another solid season with the Marlies, tallying 34 points (four goals and 30 assists) over 44 games. He may need to rediscover his scoring touch before the Maple Leafs consider him for a regular spot on the NHL roster.

  • Maple Leafs' Jeremy Bracco: Called up from minors

Bracco was promoted from AHL Toronto on Monday. Bracco is unlikely to slot into the lineup for Monday's matchup with Carolina but figures to serve as an emergency depth option. With Trevor Moore (undisclosed) sidelined, Jason Spezza figures to take on a fourth-line role. Following the Christmas break, Bracco will almost certainly be shipped back to the minors.

  • Maple Leafs' Jeremy Bracco: Continuing AHL dominance

Bracco registered a pair of assists in AHL Toronto's 4-3 win over Hershey on Wednesday. On the heels of a season in which he finished second in AHL scoring (79 points in 75 games) as a 22-year-old, Bracco has already racked up six helpers in his first four 2019-20 contests. He's clearly ready to help the Leafs offensively, but Bracco is limited to playing the right wing and there are no openings on the NHL roster at the moment. His NHL debut figures to come at some point later this season.

  • Maple Leafs' Jeremy Bracco: Finishes second in AHL scoring race

Bracco (79 points in 75 games) finished the season second in AHL scoring. Only Syracuse's Carter Verhaeghe (82 points) was better. Bracco finished the season with 22 goals, and his 57 assists were also the second-highest total in the league. Bracco is severely undersized (5-foot-11, 170 pounds), but he is a shifty skater and a world-class passer. Toronto is going to have to make room on the right side for the 22-year-old at some point during the 2019-20 season.

  • Maple Leafs' Jeremy Bracco: Leads AHL in scoring

Bracco (72 points in 67 games) currently leads the AHL in scoring. Bracco's 53 assists are also most in the league. The Leafs are going to have to do some maneuvering to open a spot on the right wing for Bracco this coming fall. A trade of Connor Brown is one possibility. Bracco, who turned 22 years old in mid-March, is ready for his opportunity at the highest level.

  • Maple Leafs' Jeremy Bracco: Fifth in AHL scoring

Bracco picked up a goal and an assist in AHL Toronto's 4-3 overtime loss to Belleville on Sunday. Bracco is currently fifth in the AHL in scoring with 49 points in 48 games. A second-round pick of the Leafs in 2015 (61st overall), Bracco is an exceptional passer and an elusive skater. The downside is that he is has a tendency to lose physical battles because he is undersized and he offers nothing defensively. Bracco should have a long career as a power-play specialist who can chip in some offense at even strength. Given the depth Toronto has on its NHL roster, Bracco could be potential trade bait as the NHL's trade deadline approaches February 25.

  • Maple Leafs' Jeremy Bracco: Closing in on first NHL recall

Bracco scored twice and added two assists in AHL Toronto's 7-3 win over Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Saturday. Bracco continues to produce at the AHL level. He has 15 points in 20 games for the Marlies this season and his play in his own zone has improved. There were concerns that Bracco's slight frame and perimeter-oriented game wouldn't translate to the professional ranks, but he has displayed a constant ability to use his shiftiness and vision to set up teammates. It's not out of the realm of possibility that he makes his NHL debut with the Leafs later this season.
