In the third period, Soucy took a minor penalty for boarding Robert Thomas, which left the Blues forward with an undisclosed injury. It's unclear if Soucy will face supplemental discipline for the hit, but he has already been suspended once this season.

Soucy earned the secondary assist on Luke Johnson's first career goal in the first period. He's added 43 PIM, 40 hits and 37 blocked shots this season in a third-pairing role.

The 26-year-old Soucy has three helpers in his last five games -- he's found ways to get involved in the offense despite a third-pairing role. The rearguard has 11 points, 39 PIM, 33 hits, 31 blocked shots, 24 shots on net and a plus-13 rating through 28 contests. The solid all-around production, save for special-teams work, could give Soucy some extra value in deeper fantasy formats.

Soucy has served his one-game suspension and will be eligible to return to the lineup Saturday against Colorado. Matt Dumba is dealing with a lower-body injury, so it's safe to assume Soucy will return to action Saturday. The 26-year-old blueliner has picked up eight points through 22 games this campaign.

Soucy has been suspended for one game for charging Arizona's Conor Garland during Tuesday's win over the Coyotes. With Soucy unavailable, Brad Hunt or Dakota Mermis will likely draw into the lineup for Thursday's game against the Avalanche. Soucy will be eligible to return for Saturday's rematch with Colorado.
