Golden Knights' Gage Quinney: Signs with Vegas
Quinney signed a two-year, two-way contract with Vegas on Saturday, according to CapFriendly. Quinney had 25 goals and 64 points in 66 games with AHL Henderson last season. He will probably spend most, if not all, of the 2023-24 campaign in the minors.... See More ... See Less -
Golden Knights' Gage Quinney: Injured on high hit
Quinney suffered an upper-body injury and won't return to Tuesday's game versus the Coyotes, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports. Quinney got hit by Michael Carcone early in the second period. The 27-year-old Quinney is on an AHL contract this year, so he was unlikely to make the NHL roster barring the Golden Knights having a desperate need for forward depth. It's unclear what kind of timeline he's facing for a return.... See More ... See Less -
Golden Knights' Gage Quinney: Receives AHL deal
Quinney signed a one-year, AHL-only contract with the Henderson Silver Knights on Thursday, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports. Quinney was on a two-way deal with the Golden Knights last year. It appears they like him enough to keep him around the organization after he posted 23 points in 38 contests in 2021-22 with Henderson. It's possible the forward later signs a two-way contract to get on the NHL club's books.... See More ... See Less -
Golden Knights' Gage Quinney: Staying in Vegas
Quinney signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Golden Knights on Wednesday. The Las Vegas native had 17 points in 19 contests with AHL Henderson, but he didn't draw into an NHL contest. Quinney will continue to provide the Golden Knights with forward depth, but he shouldn't be expected to make their Opening Night roster.... See More ... See Less -
Golden Knights' Gage Quinney: Heads back to minors
Quinney was assigned to AHL Henderson on Tuesday, per CapFriendly. Quinney didn't suit up during his brief stint with the big club. The Vegas native has put together a strong AHL campaign thus far, recording seven goals and two helpers through nine contests.... See More ... See Less -
Golden Knights' Gage Quinney: Added to taxi squad
Quinney was promoted to the taxi squad Monday, according to CapFriendly. Quinney has racked up seven goals and nine points through nine AHL games this season. The Las Vegas native likely won't get much of a look on the active roster this season.... See More ... See Less -
Golden Knights' Gage Quinney: Shifts to minors
The Golden Knights reassigned Quinney to AHL Henderson on Wednesday, per CapFriendly. The 25-year-old has yet to suit up in game action for Vegas this season after seeing three games during 2019-20. Quinney will head down to the minors, where he racked up 36 points over 46 games with AHL Chicago last year. Quinney is expected to spend his time between the minors and taxi squad this season.... Golden Knights' Gage Quinney: Shuffles back to minors
The Golden Knights reassigned Quinney to AHL Chicago on Sunday. The Vegas native made his NHL debut with the Golden Knights this year, and he posted an assist and a minus-1 rating over three games with the big club. The 24-year-old has been quite impressive in the AHL, recording 33 points over 43 games, and he'll continue to develop with increased opportunities at the minor-league level.... See More ... Golden Knights' Gage Quinney: Back with big club
Vegas promoted Quinney from AHL Chicago on Thursday. The Golden Knights only had 12 healthy forwards on their roster prior to Quinney's promotion, so he'll be on hand as an emergency option for Friday's matchup with Buffalo. The 24-year-old winger has notched one assist in two appearances with the big club this campaign.... See More ... See Less -
Golden Knights' Gage Quinney: First NHL point is assist
Quinney posted an assist in Sunday's 6-5 overtime win over the Ducks. The Las Vegas native picked up his first NHL point in just his second game. Quinney has a hit and two shots in his young career -- his limited usage in a fourth-line role will keep him from making much of a fantasy impact.... See More ... See Less
