  • Flyers' Cooper Marody: Among roster cuts

Marody was placed on waivers Monday for the purpose of sending him to AHL Lehigh Valley. Marody piled up 15 goals and 40 points in 47 games with the Phantoms last season. The 26-year-old forward has one assist in seven career NHL outings.

  • Flyers' Cooper Marody: Cut from NHL roster

Marody was waived Sunday, per Adam Kimelman of NHL.com. Marody signed a two-way deal with Philadelphia this offseason after logging an assist in his lone game with Edmonton last season. The 25-year-old center will open the year with AHL Lehigh Valley if he passes through waivers unclaimed.

  • Flyers' Cooper Marody: Heading east

Marody signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Flyers on Wednesday. Marody posted 55 points in 52 contests with AHL Bakersfield last season, and also had an assist in one NHL game. The 25-year-old forward could receive a chance to prove himself with the Flyers, but it's likely he'll spend some of 2022-23 with AHL Lehigh Valley since he's on a two-way deal.

  • Oilers' Cooper Marody: Collects first NHL assist

Marody notched an assist in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Kraken. Marody set up Evan Bouchard's goal at 13:05 of the first period to earn his first NHL point. The 24-year-old Marody hadn't played in an NHL game since the 2018-19 campaign when he got into six contests with the Oilers. He saw just 6:04 of ice time Saturday, so even if he sticks in the lineup for a while, he's unlikely to make much of an impact.

  • Oilers' Cooper Marody: Summoned from minors

Marody was called up from AHL Bakersfield on Friday. Marody joins the Oilers amid the team's COVID-19 outbreak that has left them thin down the middle. The 24-year-old is a natural center who has racked up 15 points in 18 games with the Condors this season.

  • Oilers' Cooper Marody: Signs extension with Edmonton

Marody signed a one-year, two-way contract extension with the Oilers on Saturday. Marody was highly productive in the minors last season, racking up 21 goals and 36 points through 39 contests. Nonetheless, the 24-year-old forward will likely see little to no NHL action in 2021-22.

  • Oilers' Cooper Marody: Sent down a level

Marody was sent down to AHL Bakersfield on Saturday. Marody had 17 points in 30 appearances with the Condors in 2019-20, and the 24-year-old center will look to build on that production. The Oilers are fairly deep at center, so it's unlikely Marody will get a look with the big club in 2020-21.

  • Oilers' Cooper Marody: Joins Oilers at training camp

Marody has completed his loan with Dornbirn in Austria and will attend the Oilers' training camp, Dustin Nielson of TSN 1260 reports. Marody is likely nothing more than center depth for the Oilers in 2020-21, as he'd need to outplay all of Jujhar Khaira, Devin Shore and Gaetan Haas to crack the lineup. There's a chance Marody joins the taxi squad, but the 24-year-old would likely best be served by joining AHL Bakersfield.

  • Oilers' Cooper Marody: Headed overseas

Marody will begin the 2020-21 season on loan with Dornbirn (Austria). Marody logged 30 games with AHL Bakersfield this year in which he notched five goals and 12 helpers. It wasn't enough to earn the 23-year-old center a promotion to the big club, as he didn't appear in a game with the Oilers in 2019-20. Given the wealth of young blue-line talent in Edmonton, Marody could struggle to crack the 23-man roster next year.

  • Oilers' Cooper Marody: AHL bound

Marody was assigned to AHL Bakersfield on Friday. Marody had a goal and two helpers across two preseason games for the Oilers, but it wasn't enough to earn an extended look in training camp. The 22-year-old will instead earn regular minutes in the minors this season and will be a top option for a recall if the Oilers need a center. Marody had 64 points (19 goals, 45 helpers) in 58 games with Bakersfield last year and appeared in six NHL games.

  • Oilers' Cooper Marody: Sent down to minors

Marody was demoted to AHL Bakersfield on Wednesday. Although nothing official has come from the team yet, the move to reassign Marody could be an indication that Tobias Rieder (upper body) is nearing a return from injury. The youngster Marody served as a healthy scratch in 12 of a possible 17 games this season. Even when he was in the lineup, the natural center was averaging a mere 6:55 of ice time and will benefit from some playing time in the minors.

  • Oilers' Cooper Marody: Promoted to Edmonton

Marody was recalled from AHL Bakersfield on Thursday. The Oilers placed Drake Caggiula (hand) on injured reserve, with Marody heading back to the NHL in a corresponding move. Marody had been up with the parent club for six games between Oct. 23 and Nov. 20, though he only averaged 7:37 of ice time over five pointless performances. It's too early in the development stages of Marody's career to give him fantasy attention.

  • Oilers' Cooper Marody: Descends to AHL

Marody was reassigned to AHL Bakersfield on Friday. Marody suited up for three games and recorded two shots on goal and a minus-1 rating in this NHL stint. This leaves 12 healthy forwards on the roster, so Marody may be called up soon for possible injury relief.

  • Oilers' Cooper Marody: Rises to big club

Marody was recalled by the Oilers on Sunday. Marody's been a stud with AHL Bakersfield this season, producing 10 points in seven games. The 21-year-old has just two NHL games under his belt, and his first chance to play will be Sunday against the Avalanche.

  • Oilers' Cooper Marody: Demoted to bus league

The Oilers reassigned Marody to AHL Bakersfield on Friday. Marody has been a healthy scratch for Edmonton's last four contests, so this move doesn't come as much of a surprise. The 21-year-old pivot will return to a prominent role with Bakersfield, where he's racked up two goals and six points in five appearances this campaign.

  • Oilers' Cooper Marody: Recalled from AHL

Marody was brought up to the NHL on Sunday. Marody scored 16 goals and 51 points in his final season with the University of Michigan last year and already has six points in five games with AHL Bakersfield this season. The 21-year-old center was called up after the team placed Ty Rattie (abdomen) on injured reserve.
