• Coyotes' Victor Soderstrom: Heads to AHL

  Soderstrom was sent to AHL Tucson on Sunday, CapFriendly reports. Soderstrom played two games with the Coyotes, recording a shot on net and two hits. The 19-year-old will continue to fine-tune his craft in the minors, but it wouldn't be surprising if he was called back up for the Coyotes' six-game road trip that starts Tuesday in St. Louis.

• Coyotes' Victor Soderstrom: Assigned to taxi squad

  The Coyotes have assigned Soderstrom to their taxi squad. Soderstrom has appeared in two games with the big club this campaign, going scoreless while averaging 13:41 of ice time per contest. The 19-year-old rookie will likely continue to shuffle between the taxi squad and NHL roster throughout the season, so he'll be hard to trust from a fantasy standpoint.

• Coyotes' Victor Soderstrom: Makes NHL debut

  Soderstrom made his NHL debut Friday, posting a plus-1 rating in 15:18 of ice time in a 5-2 win over Vegas. Soderstrom didn't make his mark on the scoresheet, but it was nonetheless an impressive debut for the 19-year-old blueliner against a tough opponent in the Golden Knights. The 11th overall pick from the 2019 draft will attempt to pick up his first NHL point in Sunday's rematch with Vegas.

• Coyotes' Victor Soderstrom: Officially added to taxi squad

  Soderstrom, who had been in quarantine, is listed on the taxi squad ahead of Thursday's home tilt against the Sharks. The talented Swedish defenseman made his way back from the IIHF World Junior Championships, and he should be eager to showcase the supreme two-way skills that made him the 11th overall pick from the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. Soderstrom still needs to be recalled to the Coyotes in order to play in a given contest, but he will, at the very least, benefit from being able to practice and travel with the club.

• Coyotes' Victor Soderstrom: Still away from team

  Head coach Rick Tocchet said Sunday that Soderstrom is "a couple days" away from joining Coyotes' training camp, Alexander Kinkopf of the Coyotes' official website reports. Soderstrom is still quarantining after traveling back from the IIHF World Junior Championships. The Swedish defenseman produced five assists over five games at the tournament. Soderstrom likely won't be available for the season opener against the Sharks due to the quick turnaround, and it's unclear if he's in the big club's plans this season anyway.
