  • Jokinen will make his debut with the Kings against the Bruins on Thursday, NHL.com reports. The Finnish veteran was part of a 1-for-1 swap that saw Michael Cammalleri bound for Edmonton. It looks like there's nowhere to go but up for Jokinen, as he only managed one point (an assist) and a minus-3 rating over 14 games with the Oilers, but we're still projecting him to start out in a fourth-line role with the Kings.

  • Kings' Jussi Jokinen: Heads out west in trade
    By RotoWire Staff

Jokinen was traded to the Kings in exchange for Michael Cammalleri, Nick Kypreos of Sportsnet reports. Jokinen simply couldn't find his groove in Edmonton, notching just one assist and no goals on 24 shots through 14 games. Combine that with a minus-3 rating, and he was deemed an underwhelming veteran. The 34-year-old will likely never reach the 50-point seasons he used to post, so both the Oiler and Kings hope the change of scenery will benefit these journeymen through this exchange.

  • Oilers' Jussi Jokinen: Off to slow start
    By RotoWire Staff

Jokinen put four shots on net in 15:01 of ice time during Saturday's drubbing at the hands of the Senators. Through four games with the Oilers, Jokinen has yet to get on the scoresheet. He's put 10 pucks on net, but he's not seeing a whole lot of ice time and doesn't have a very high fantasy ceiling right now.

  • Oilers' Jussi Jokinen: Signs one-year deal
    By RotoWire Staff

Jokinen agreed to terms on a one-year contract with Edmonton on Friday. Jokinen joins Connor McDavid and company after three seasons with the Panthers. It was a difficult 2016-17 campaign for the winger, as he saw action in just 69 games due to injury and failed to reach the 30-point mark for only the third time in his 12-year career. Even in a bottom-six role, the veteran's numbers should get a boost from joining the high-powered Oilers offense. Falling somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 points is within the realm of possibility for Jokinen this upcoming season.

  • Jussi Jokinen: Will have contract purchased
    By RotoWire Staff

Jokinen will have his contract bought out by the Panthers, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. The Finn has one year remaining on his four-year contract, which is valued at $4 million annually. Given Jokinen's age -- he's 34 years old -- the Panthers will have to pay him two-thirds of his remaining salary spread out over the next two years after the waiver process takes its course. He struggled with a knee injury this past season and ended up with just 28 points (11 goals, 17 assists) and a career-worst minus-15 rating in 69 games.
