Yandle picked up his 21st assist of the year in a 4-3 overtime win over the Golden Knights on Friday. Yandle's fantasy abilities have remained relatively consistent over the last few years, usually giving owners exactly what they had expected. This year, the 31-year-old blueliner is also averaging a career-high 24:40 of ice time per game. He should continue to contribute regularly and be a solid fantasy performer.
Yandle registered a minus-2 rating and failed to record a hit, blocked shot, or shot on goal in Tuesday's 5-1 loss to the Wild. Yandle is currently stuck in a pretty nasty rut; over his last 10 games, the 31-year-old blueliner has just two assists and 10 shots on goal. Until he busts out of this slump, there are probably better fantasy options, both in standard leagues and daily contests. Yandle will get a chance to turn it around Thursday in Boston.
Yandle had three helpers during a 5-4 loss to the Islanders on Monday. Yandle hadn't scored in either of the past two games for the team from Long Island, but he stepped up well in this one and has been getting the ice time needed to allow him to make a regular impact in fantasy. If he's producing on offense, he'll make a decent play off your bench.
Yandle recorded two assists (one on the power play), two shots and a plus-2 rating during Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Rangers. This was the third multi-point showing over the past eight games for Yandle, but unfortunately, he's also missed the scoresheet entirely in the other five contests. The game-to-game inconsistency has been a downfall all season, which can hurt the veteran's fantasy value in weekly settings and daily contests. However, with three goals, 13 points, 46 shots, 14 PIM, 32 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating, Yandle is turning in another serviceable campaign.
Yandle recorded a goal, an assist, plus-1 rating and four shots on goal in a game-high 27:26 during a 3-2 loss against the Ducks on Sunday. Since leaving Phoenix, Yandle has yet to reach double-digit goals, but he will seemingly have a shot at it this season. Through about the quarter mark of 2017-18, he has three goals and 11 points. Yandle also has a plus-6 rating, which makes him less of a fantasy liability than he's been in the past. However, owners should keep in mind that Yandle currently has a 7.7 shooting percentage, which is almost three percent higher than his career norm -- that doesn't bode well for him continuing his current goal pace.
