  • Loui Eriksson: Signs with Frolunda

Eriksson has inked a contract with Frolunda of the Swedish Hockey League, TSN's Chris Johnston reports. Eriksson had some very good seasons in the NHL, surpassing the 70-point mark on three occasions with Dallas early in his career. He played last season with Arizona, where the 36-year-old had three goals and 19 points in 73 games. He returns home to his native Sweden to finish out his career.

  • Coyotes' Loui Eriksson: Adds helper in comeback win

Eriksson recorded an assist in Friday's 5-4 win over the Predators. Eriksson ended his five-game point drought in the final game of the regular season. The 36-year-old winger enjoyed a bit of a bounce-back campaign in 2021-22 with 19 points in 73 contests. He added 81 shots on net and a minus-18 rating in a bottom-six role. It's not clear if Eriksson intends to continue his career -- he's set to be an unrestricted free agent this summer now that his six-year, $36 million deal he signed with the Canucks in 2016 is over.

  • Coyotes' Loui Eriksson: Scores in loss

Eriksson scored a goal on four shots in Monday's 5-3 loss to Carolina. The goal was Eriksson's first since March 3, and his first point in 13 games. Scoring chances have been hard to come by for the 36-year-old winger playing on the Coyotes' third line. In 67 games this season, Eriksson now has three goals and 15 assists.

  • Coyotes' Loui Eriksson: Garners helper in loss

Eriksson notched an assist and two shots on goal in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Kraken. Eriksson's gone nine games without a goal, but he's added four assists in that span. The Swede has 17 points, 58 shots on net and a minus-11 rating through 54 contests while emerging as a fixture on the Coyotes' third line this season.

  • Coyotes' Loui Eriksson: Collects assist Tuesday

Eriksson notched an assist in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Canadiens. Eriksson set up a Barrett Hayton tally in the first period. The 36-year-old Eriksson has been steady on offense lately with a goal and five assists in his last eight contests. The Swede doesn't add much beyond his modest scoring numbers -- he has 16 points, 54 shots on net and a minus-9 rating in 51 outings this season.

  • Coyotes' Loui Eriksson: Five points in last four

Eriksson dished out two assists in Tuesday's 9-2 win over Detroit. Eriksson set up goals by Nick Ritchie and Jakob Chychrun in the first period, and they both managed to light the lamp again in the second without his help. The 36-year-old Swede has 15 points this season, including five in his last four games.

  • Coyotes' Loui Eriksson: Nets equalizer Thursday

Eriksson scored a goal in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Avalanche. Eriksson tallied late in the second period to tie the game at 1-1. The 36-year-old has picked up three points in his last two games, which is just the third time all season he's gotten on the scoresheet in consecutive outings. The Swede's at 13 points, 53 shots on net and a minus-9 rating in 45 contests. Given his limited offense and almost total lack of non-scoring stats, he's not much of a factor in fantasy.

  • Coyotes' Loui Eriksson: Ends point drought with two assists

Eriksson dished out two assists in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Jets. Eriksson ended a five-game point drought with his second multi-point performance of the season. The over-the-hill winger is still mired in a goal drought that dates back to Dec. 15, rendering Eriksson nearly useless in fantasy.

  • Coyotes' Loui Eriksson: Reaches 10-assist mark

Eriksson provided an assist in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Kings. Eriksson helped out on Anton Stralman's first-period marker. This was Eriksson's second assist in his last three games. The Swedish winger is up to 11 points, 49 shots on net and a minus-12 rating through 40 contests. He's occasionally rotated out of the lineup as a healthy scratch, but if the Coyotes continue to trade away older forwards, Eriksson could either cement his place or end up on a different team. He's still unlikely to do enough to help in fantasy in either scenario.

  • Coyotes' Loui Eriksson: Manages helper in win

Eriksson notched an assist in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Kraken. Eriksson helped out on Anton Stralman's game-winner early in the third period. The assist ended a five-game point drought for Eriksson, who has been limited to mainly a bottom-six role this season. He's at 10 points, 47 shots on net and a minus-13 rating in 38 appearances, though his place in the lineup can't be guaranteed on a nightly basis.

  • Coyotes' Loui Eriksson: Nabs assist in loss

Eriksson produced an assist and three shots on goal in Saturday's 7-3 loss to the Rangers. Eriksson set up Liam O'Brien for the opening tally just 2:29 into the contest. The 36-year-old Eriksson was a healthy scratch for six straight games earlier in January, but he's collected three helpers in three outings since he rejoined the lineup. The Swede has a modest nine points with 43 shots on net and a minus-9 rating through 32 contests overall, and he's mainly been limited to a fourth-line role when he plays. With little beyond his scoring production, Eriksson's not a particularly helpful option in fantasy.

  • Coyotes' Loui Eriksson: Serves pair of helpers

Eriksson provided two assists in a 4-1 win over the Devils on Wednesday. Eriksson had not played since Jan. 4 against Winnipeg but was able to shake off the rust quickly Wednesday. Though the veteran right winger has just eight points in 30 games this season, six of those points have come in his last eight games. Those eight games have been spread out over nearly two months, though, so some consistent playing time could serve Eriksson well in the second half.

  • Coyotes' Loui Eriksson: Puts up helper Tuesday

Eriksson logged a power-play assist, three shots on goal and a minus-2 rating in Tuesday's 8-7 shootout loss to the Sharks. Eriksson helped out on the second of Janis Moser's tallies in the game. In his last four games, Eriksson has a goal and two helpers, but that should be considered an anomaly. He's at just six points, 38 shots on net and a minus-12 rating in 28 outings overall while mainly logging bottom-six minutes.

The assist was Eriksson's fourth of the year, and he's yet to score a goal in 25 games. The 36-year-old has added 32 shots on net, six PIM and a minus-10 rating in a bottom-six role in his first year with the Coyotes.

  • Coyotes' Loui Eriksson: Contributes helper Monday

Eriksson produced an assist in Monday's 1-0 win over the Jets. Eriksson set up Antoine Roussel for the only goal in the game. The 36-year-old Eriksson has just three assists with no goals through 20 appearances this year, though he has shown some chemistry with his former Canucks teammate Roussel in recent games. Even with that considered, neither forward is likely to score enough to get on the fantasy radar.

  • Coyotes' Loui Eriksson: Manages assist

Eriksson posted an assist and three shots on goal in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Stars. A puck deflected off of Eriksson and to Antoine Roussel, who scored the Coyotes' first goal. The 36-year-old Eriksson has added almost nothing on offense this year with two assists and 23 shots on net through 19 games. He's at a minus-10 rating, and while he'll be in the lineup most of the time, he's not scoring enough to be on the fantasy radar, as has been the case over the last few years.

  • Coyotes' Loui Eriksson: Scratched Friday

Eriksson will not play Friday against Anaheim, Arizona Coyotes Insider Craig Morgan reports. Eriksson is expected to play Saturday, so Friday's absence could simply be a night of rest for the 36-year-old winger. He's averaged 12:11 of ice time with one assist through nine games this season.

  • Coyotes' Loui Eriksson: Adds assist Monday

Eriksson posted an assist and two shots on goal in Monday's 7-4 loss to the Blues. Eriksson was credited with the secondary helper on Travis Boyd's third-period tally. It's been a few years since Eriksson was a true scoring threat in fantasy -- he was more of a bottom-six option throughout his five-year tenure with the Canucks, and that appears likely to continue with the Coyotes. As such, fantasy managers likely don't need to track his output in 2021-22.

  • Coyotes' Loui Eriksson: Dealt to Desert Dogs

Eriksson, Jay Beagle, Antoine Roussel ,the ninth overall pick in Friday night's Entry Draft, a 2022 second-round pick and a 2023 seventh-round pick were traded by the Canucks to the Coyotes in exchange for Conor Garland and Oliver Ekman-Larsson on Friday, TSN.ca reports. Eriksson has just one season remaining on his albatross of a six-year, $36 million deal, and the Coyotes aren't in a position to compete in 2021-22, so they've essentially decided to take on several ugly short-term contracts while sending Garland and Ekman-Larsson to Vancouver in order to acquire the ninth overall pick in Friday evening's draft. Eriksson appeared in just seven games with the Canucks last season, tallying one helper over that span, and it isn't clear if he'll have a regular role with Arizona next year.
