Baby, 1, signs with Belgian soccer club
Toddler becomes world's youngest professional athlete.
A Belgian soccer club announced last week the signing of Bryce Brites, a 20-month-old toddler from nearby Genk.
Brites has been signed to FC Racing Boxberg's under-5 squad, which makes him the youngest professional athlete in the world. He even has his own membership card!
"The way Bryce kicks the ball: you do not see that very often," club secretary Dany Vodnik said. "His ball control is incredible for somebody of his age."
But don't worry; Vodnik vowed that the team will stay cautious with Brites, who won't be playing alongside the older kids for a few years.
