Michael Schumacher experiencing 'moments of consciousness'
There is encouraging news for Formula One legend Michael Schumacher.
Formula One legend Michael Schumacher has been experiencing "moments of consciousness and awakening," his manager told the Associated Press Friday.
"Michael is making progress on his way," Schumacher's manager said in a statement, according to the AP. "He shows moments of consciousness and awakening.
"We are on his side during his long and difficult fight, together with the team of the hospital in Grenoble, and we keep remaining confident."
Schumacher, 45, nearly died after crashing while skiing the French Alps. He has been in a medically-induced coma for months.
After falling and striking his head on a rock in France, Schumacher endured two brain surgeries to relieve clotting.
It was reported in late January that Schumacher would begin the "waking up process." Further details regarding his condition and prognosis were not made available.
