Video: Here is the putt that won Keegan Bradley the Bridgestone Invitational
Keegan Bradley made a huge par putt on the 72nd hole to win the Bridgestone Invitational, and we have video.
Maybe that PGA Championship that Keegan Bradley won a year ago was a fluke. Maybe the rookie with a playoff win already under his belt was never supposed to have a chance at his first ever major championship and maybe at the time nobody really thought he was as good as his then resume suggested.
But 2012 has shown us that Keegan is a fighter. His huge birdie putt at Riviera was one thing, but on Sunday at Firestone, with a chance to become the tenth player ever with a major championship and a World Golf Championships win, he stood over a par putt that was all or nothing.
Bradley had hit a pretty clunky 9-iron from the middle of the 18th hole fairway into the green side bunker, and the lie was horrible, but he pitched out to 18-feet, and gave himself a par putt to possible force a playoff with Jim Furyk.
Furyk was having his own problems on the last, pitching to five feet for a bogey, but Bradley needed the par putt to put some serious pressure on the former U.S. Open winner. He drilled it right in the center, his reaction was priceless, and Furyk would go on to miss his bogey putt for a playoff.
Bradley might have been some out-of-nowhere guy in 2011, but this season has shown that he's the real deal, and this win puts him in another level just two years into his PGA Tour career.
