2017 U.S. Open prop bets: Final margin of victory, will Phil Mickelson play?
The most interesting betting props for the 2017 U.S. Open at Erin Hills
Most causal golf fans looking to make their own expert picks for the 2017 U.S. Open will be selecting winners, assembling some sort of fantasy team or participating in a pool with friends. There are a few diehards, however, who like to take the wagering game to the next level with betting props.
For that matter, Bookmaker.eu has assembled the prop bets list for this week's action at Erin Hills, and the list leads with the question everyone has been asking this week: Will Phil Mickelson play?
You also can pick the winning score, whether or not Wisconsin native Steve Stricker will make the cut, the final margin of victory and even some great details about the U.S. Open winner on the 18th green like "is he wearing a hat?" and "who gets hugged first?"
Right now, the oddsmakers have a 66 pegged as the over/under for the lowest single round of the tournament, and they're not only projecting no wire-to-wire winner (+500 if it happens), but even favor the eventual champion chasing down the 54-hole leader in the fourth round (-200).
