$2.5 million hole-in-one prize on the table in Dubai
An ace on a par-4 in Dubai this week could net you a ton of cash.
Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy will tee it up in the same tournament for the first time in 2014 this week in Dubai and a lot more than the $2.5 million purse will be at stake.
The tournament is offering an additional $2.5 million to anyone who can ace the 324-yard par-4 17th hole at the Emirates Golf Club
It's a fun offer and a smart one by the tournament since it's probably not going to happen. Though after double eagles being made in each of the last two European Tour tournaments, I guess nothing is out of the question.
Golf in Dubai chief executive Mohamed Juma Buamaim said he's excited about the draw.
"I am sure the prize will be a talking point among players and will help draw big galleries to the hole as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of our event," said Buamaim.
