Bo Van Pelt receives very strange birthday cake in Bulgaria
Bo Van Pelt's birthday is Thursday, and the officials at the Volvo World Match Play Championship gave him a cake to celebrate.
Bo Van Pelt is playing the Volvo World Match Play Championships this week in Bulgaria. He's the only American in the field. On Thursday, his birthday, he halved his match with Richard Sterne. Graeme McDowell and Ian Poulter are also playing in the tournament.
Then, according to Twitter, the tournament presented Van Pelt with this very strange birthday cake. Strange, not because giving a golfer who traveled halfway around the world to play in your tournament a present is strange, but because, well, what is going on with the cake?
It would appear a golfer (Van Pelt?) is crawling toward the hole to find his ball after having flung his putter to the side. For some reason, I can't look at this picture without cracking up.
Anyway, happy birthday, Bo.
