2016 British Open: Tee times and complete pairings for Round 3 on Saturday

Being forced to rise in the middle of the night to watch great golf is over ... sort of. Of the 156 players in the field, 81 made the cut at 4 over, which is a greater number than normal.

Jordan Spieth was actually shocked at how big the gap was between the leader and those (like him) who squeezed in by a single shot. He told Golf Channel after his round he's not sure he had ever seen a 14-stroke differential from the first and last players who made the cut.

Spieth will tee off early in the Scotland morning followed shortly thereafter by Jason Day, Rory McIlroy and then the rest of the golfers chasing Phil Mickelson and Henrik Stenson.

"It all depends on what the weather conditions bring us," said Day of his plan for Saturday. "Obviously, I've got to go into the next couple days with a positive attitude regardless how the weather is, because it's going to be hard on everyone. It's going to be hard to win a major tournament."

Echoed McIlroy: "It really depends what the conditions are like. I think it's going to be drier [Saturday], but maybe the same amount of wind. Depending on what direction it comes from, again, you've seen guys shoot 4, 5, 6 under on the front nine."

You never know. That's the point at majors. Here's a look at the tee times and pairings for Round 3 at Royal Troon. All times Eastern.
