British Open TV times and schedule
The TV schedule for the British Open is always pretty wonky, but here's a good synopsis of when you can watch the action.
The British Open will be broadcast on ESPN as well as online at WatchESPN.com. Here are the live TV times for all four rounds (all times ET):
Thursday, July 18 -- 4 a.m.-3 p.m.
Friday, July 19 -- 4 a.m.-3 p.m.
Saturday, July 20 -- 7 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Sunday, July 21 -- 6 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Also, an edited encore will be aired each night on ESPN and on Sunday night on ESPN2. Here are those times:
Thursday, July 18 -- 7-10 p.m.
Friday, July 19 -- 7-10 p.m.
Saturday, July 20 -- 7-10 p.m.
Sunday, July 21 -- 9 p.m.-midnight
I know it's fun and probably easy sometimes to bash ESPN for some of the things that they do, but their British Open coverage is second to none. I love Mike Tirico and Scott Van Pelt talking to me from Scotland for four straight days, and I'm looking forward to it again this year.
Also, here's a list of the announcing team that ESPN put together this year:
