Everybody has a hot take on what's up with Tiger Woods but few are as tuned into the situation as pro golfer (and avid user of Twitter) Parker McLachlin.
McLachlin won the 2008 Reno-Tahoe Open by seven strokes and that fall picked up a swing coach by the name of Sean Foley.
When asked about who his new coach was at the 2009 Reno-Tahoe Open, this is what McLachlin said.
"A guy named Sean Foley. And he works with Steven Ames and Sean O'Hair and Hunter Mahan, and I think just picked up Trevor Immelman a couple weeks ago. I saw him at the PGA championship last year.
"It's been a really long process, but it's been -- I've just learned so much. It's like he's such a smart guy, I get up in the morning and I'm just fired up to go to the golf course and learn and continue to get better."
So why do we care about something McLachlin did in 2009?
Well on Thursday he tweeted this about Tiger Woods -- who, as you know, works with Sean Foley.

Well okay then.
McLachlin went on to post three top 25s in 2009, none in 2010, and has only played eight PGA Tour events since then.
In Golf Digest in 2011 Foley had this to say about McLachlin.
"The biggest mistake a teacher can make with a tour pro is to change the grip. I learned the hard way with Parker McLachlin."
That doesn't sound great and might be the reason for the tweet from McLachlin towards Tiger.
There's more with Foley. He also told the National Post this in 2009.
"In some form I think I’ve attracted guys who really like to think about the swing."
"Think." That's what McLachlin said Woods was doing too much of. Maybe that's correct and maybe not -- Woods has defended Foley in the past -- but you can't argue with the fact that Tiger doesn't have any majors since 2008 and has struggled mightily off the tee since coming back from back surgery at the Quicken Loans National.
Plus, McLachlin would know better than most.
