Gentleman interrupts Webb Simpson's U.S. Open title ceremony

This fan decided that he wants his 15 minutes of fame during Webb Simpson's title ceremony on live TV. Simpson does a good job of deflecting the attention seeker but Bob Costas is a little annoyed.

The guy who yanks him off the screen? USGA commissioner Mike Davis. That's some super-security played by the commish.

But hey, that's live television for you. Can you imagine how mad the Masters chairman would be if the heckler managed to interrupt the awarding of the green jacket? Life-time ban.

It still isn't the most famous incident involving a fan at a major championship. Peter Jacobson tackled a streaking fan on the 18th green during the 1985 British Open.

See for yourself.
