Joel Embiid may or may not have played golf day before surgery
Maybe it was just a putting contest?
Joel Embiid, if you haven't heard, is going to be drafted in the NBA Draft next week and likely very high in the NBA Draft.
He was a potential No. 1 pick until it was revealed by his agent on Thursday that he needed surgery on Friday to repair a stress fracture in his foot.
How did Embiid respond?
By getting a round of golf in, of course. Or at least we think it was a round of golf. Embiid might have been trolling or maybe he was just putting (you can putt with a stress fracture in your foot, no?)
Embiid posted the photo above with the caption "playing golf in this beautiful and sunny day" on Instagram.
A very important question arose from the Instagram photo and length of that PING putter Embiid is rocking -- how tall is a Joel Embiid putter?
That putter's definitely bigger than Earl Boykins, possibly bigger than Nate Robinson— Andrew Sharp (@andrewsharp) June 20, 2014
