You might know Matt Kuchar as one of the many waves left in Bubba Watson's wake last week at the Masters but you should know him for the consistency with which he's inscribing his last name on PGA Tour leaderboards.

Yes, he leads the tour in top 10 finishes this season (seven in 10 events) but let's take a closer look at how close he's been to winning three straight tournaments:

Texas Open: Played in the final group and posted an even-par 36 on the front nine before falling off with a 39 on the back. I believe he led or co-led at the turn, too.

Houston Open: Kuchar held a two-stroke lead on the No. 18 tee box before watching Matt Jones birdie then yanking his second shot into the water and making bogey before losing in a playoff.

Masters: Kuchar co-led with Jordan Spieth after making birdies at Nos 2-3 at Augusta on Sunday. He didn't close the deal but stood 15 holes from his first major with nobody in front of him.

Kuchar -- surprise -- led again after the first round of the RBC Heritage in Hilton Head. It's been a pretty incredible stretch of golf for the six-time PGA Tour winner.

And if he keeps playing the way he's been playing, you have to think he's about to make that seven.
