Mike Weir must feel like a cursed man right now.

The former Masters winner has now missed 17 consecutive cuts (includes one withdrawal) dating back 18 months.

He hasn't made a cut since July 2011 at the AT&T National.

He hasn't made back-to-back cuts since the Masters and Verizon Heritage in April 2010.

It was all at his fingertips Saturday, too. He could taste it. He went to the 9th hole (his 18th as he started on No. 10) at -10. All he needed was a par because -10 and better made the cut.

He triple bogeyed.

Steph Wei has more of the gory details but it involved two trips to the water and a lot of frustration.

And that was after shooting a 30 on the back nine (his front nine) and making nine (!) birdies Saturday.

Weir will be in the field at the Farmers Insurance Open again next weekend.
