Here at Eye on Golf we like to put forth some of the best golf photos we see every week. Photos that are too good for a tweet. Photos that capture the wackiness and beauty of the sport. Here's one of those.

What is happening here?

That's David Klein and he's competing at the New Zealand Open but why was I initially terrified when seeing the thumbnail of this photo that Klein was going to be ravaged by wild beasts?

Turns out those sculptures at the Hills Golf Club and Millbrook Resort are 111 sculptures of wolves that were purchased by Sir Michael (the course's creator) from a Chinese man named Liu Ruowang.

Ruowang's work, according to the Hills Golf Club, website "draws on elements from traditional Chinese art and makes his own unique, often larger than life, interpretations."

A crazy, but fun, addition to a beautiful course in New Zealand.
