Shot of the year candidate: Tom Watson chips backward
This backwards shot that hits the flagstick is pretty tremendous.
Tom Watson is playing in this week's Champions Tour tournament, the Toshiba Classic and he nearly pulled off the shot of the year (maybe the last five years?)
Watson was up against a tree on a par-3 on Friday and decided to stand with his back to the flag and hit a chip shot behind him. It hit the flagstick and bounced away but the fact that he even got it within 20 feet is just incredible.
Watson was eight back of leader Bernhard Langer after round one.
The Englishman lapped a monster field on Sunday with a closing 65 that was better than it...
It's the second time Phil Mickelson missed the cut in his first tournament of a season
