Phil Mickelson has done an inordinate amount of Phil Mickelson-ish things so far in 2013, and now we might have one to top them all.

Mickelson is planning on putting a "special club" in his bag for the Masters in two weeks. He said he is testing the club on Monday after the Shell Houston Open to see how he likes it.

Here's what Mickelson told ESPN at the Houston Open:

We have a special club we're making that I'll be hitting on Monday.

At this point, with Mickelson, I would believe anything.

A driver/wedge combo club, a putter with a 3-wood head on the back of it, a rocket launcher on his driver.

Literally anything.

Though I don't know what the club will look like (he has been experimenting with a 3-wood/driver combo club in Houston), I know he'll thrill the fans at Augusta National and we'll all tune in to see what he does next.
