Tiger Woods starts slow, probably won't recover
Tiger Woods starts round two six shots back at the PGA Championship and he has a whole host of golfers in front of him.
This is not the formula for Tiger Woods at majors. As I mentioned in the video above, when Tiger wins majors he usually hangs around on Thursday and goes low on Friday and Saturday.
He could still go low on Friday and Saturday but with 49 golfers in front of him after round one, he's going to have to go super low to get the third round lead.
I just don't know if he has a super low round in him at a major right now.
Case in point:
Bad news for Tiger fans: only 5 major winners since 2000 have been 6+ shots back after round 1. Flipside: 2 of them were Tiger.— Justin Ray (@JRayESPNGolf) August 8, 2013
Woods tees off at 1:45 p.m. with Keegan Bradley and Davis Love III.
