VIDEO: Ben Crane nearly aces par four at Phoenix Open
Something that's only happened one other time in PGA Tour history almost happened on Friday.
It's true, Ben Crane nearly made a hole-in-one on the 332-yard par-4 No. 17 hole on Friday at the Phoenix Open.
The ace would have been just the second ever on the PGA Tour with the other one coming at, yep, this same hole back in 2001 (video below) by Andrew Magee.
I couldn't believe how close Crane came to sinking this drive. At first I thought it was going to be within a few yards, then a few feet, then I thought, "My gosh, that might go in!"
Pretty awesome stuff for Crane. He's 4 under after the second day and trails the leaders by eight shots.
He's still chasing, but Fleetwood is now in premium position in Dubai
