Video: Justin Rose caps off an incredible Sunday in Dubai with this two-putt
Watch Justin Rose hit one of the best lag putts ever.
The story on Sunday in Dubai might have been Rory McIlroy closing with five birdies to win both the DP World Tour Championship and the Race to Dubai. But let us not overlook what Justin Rose did that same day.
Sitting six back of McIlroy and Luke Donald to start the day, Rose turned with a 4-under 32 and then went crazy. He made four birdies and an eagle before arriving at the par-5 18th hole.
Knowing that McIlroy still had plenty of holes to play, Rose knew a birdie had to be a worst-case scenario. But his second shot found the back of the two-tiered green, leaving the Ryder Cup hero a lengthy two-putt for birdie.
As you see above, Rose lagged it just to the top of the hill. The ball stopped for almost a full second before continuing on to the hole and nearly going in for an eagle.
Rose finished with a 10-under 62, but McIlroy's closing stretch gave him a two-shot victory.
Still, the year of big putts for Justin Rose continues.
