Video: Phil Mickelson nearly holes out his approach on No. 12 to close out his match
Phil Mickelson hit an incredible approach shot on the 12th hole to close out his foursome match with Keegan Bradley.
In their Saturday foursome match, Mickelson and Bradley were rolling when they got to the 12th hole. With his approach shot, Phil showed just why you play practice rounds.
The ball hit on the apex of the hill that feeds balls towards the Saturday morning pin position, and the ball kept rolling and rolling and rolling into gimmie range. How good has Phil been in the clutch? This was the second straight match where Phil hit a shot so close that the Europeans gave him the putt for the match.
Mickelson and Bradley won three full points for the United States through the first day and a half of play.
