Video: Roberto Castro goes nothing but net at the Barclays
Robert Castro made one of the cooler hole-in-ones you'll see in the second round of the Barclays.
Roberto Castro isn't a big name on the PGA Tour. The 27-year-old was 100th on the FedEx Cup points standings heading into the first leg of the playoffs and unlike some of the superstars, was just hoping to make it to the next week and add some extra cash to his growing portfolio.
But enough of all that - just watch his hole-in-one on the 14th at Bethpage Black on Sunday. Just 155 yards, Castro hit a pretty solid shot at the pin, but hoped it would get on the ground quick. It did … eight inches below the surface, and a memory to last a lifetime.
There are plenty of cool ways to make an ace, but to slam dunk it? That has to be the best.
Castro's ace really helped his cause; he went on to make the cut on the number, and has a great chance of making it to the next leg of the FedEx Cup playoffs.
