VIDEO: Slo-motion drive is spectacular
Titleist recently made a video where they slowed a driver hitting a golf ball down to 22,000 frames per second. The results were awesome.
I thoroughly enjoyed this frame-by-frame (22,000 per second) video of a driver's impact on a Titleist golf ball.
Pausing the video in the frame when the driver has driven the most impact into the ball is just incredible.
Here's a look:
Look at that!
Is that what it feels like when you hit a drive? It doesn't feel like that for me.
I also thought the part of the video talking about how a ball compresses pretty much equally whether your swing is 170 MPH or 120 MPH was really intriguing. More evidence that I need to slow things down when I hit.
