VIDEO: Tiger Woods makes first birdie since March
Tiger Woods is back playing the Quicken Loans National and this was his first birdie.
Tiger Woods got off to a rough start on Thursday at the Quicken Loans National with a bogey-bogey start (he got going on the back nine) but recovered nicely with this birdie at No. 14.
Woods is playing with Jason Day and Jordan Spieth, both of whom bogeyed the first two holes as well.
Tiger seems to be getting after his drives and iron shots a little bit despite not being on the course competitively since March.
As Justin Ray pointed out, he's set a high bar for his comeback rounds:
Each of last 2 times Woods missed 80+ days for injury/etc., he shot 68 in 1st round back (-2 at '11 Bridgestone, -4 at '10 Masters).— Justin Ray (@JustinRayGC) June 26, 2014
