Gaels look to continue decade of dominance.
Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) is inching toward rarified air in high school football.
Ranked No. 17 nationally this preseason by MaxPreps, the Gaels became the third team in high school football history last season to win 10 or more consecutive state championships.
To match the all-time record, the Gaels will need to win the next four in Nevada to bring their streak to 14.
That mark is held by St. Louis (Honolulu) – who won every Hawaii state title from 1986 to 1999 – and Washington (Sioux Falls), who swept 14 in a row in South Dakota from 1951 to 1964.
