SportsLine USA, Inc. Launches Second Phase Of SportsLine Rewards Program

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (July 26, 1999)- How would you like to have Tony Dorsett show up at your place one Sunday afternoon for the ultimate tailgate party? How about driving a Winston Cup Stock Car at over 160 miles per hour at the Richard Petty Driving Experience in Las Vegas? Maybe you'd like to fly to Los Angeles to golf in the Lakers' charity golf tournament? Or would you rather hang out backstage at a Jimmy Buffet concert in Boston? Making sports fans' dreams come true is the idea behind SportsLine USA's "SportsLine Rewards Plus," a "unique experiences" club that gets its members closer to sports and entertainment stars through personal meetings, exclusive online chats, tickets and VIP access to events around the corner and around the world.

SportsLine USA, Inc. (NASDAQ:SPLN), the leading global Internet sports media company, launched its "SportsLine Rewards" and "SportsLine Rewards Plus" in January as a way to reward users for visiting its flagship site, CBS SportsLine (http://cbs.sportsline.com). SportsLine is now entering phase two of its overall Rewards program development by focusing on substantially enhancing the benefits to its SportsLine Rewards Plus members, adding value to the $39.95 annual membership program. Since its launch, hundreds of thousands of Internet users have signed up for the programs.

"We launched the 'SportsLine Rewards' program as a way to reward our users for visiting our site," said Michael Levy, president and CEO of SportsLine USA. "The 'SportsLine Rewards Plus' program really takes this concept to a whole new level, giving every fan an opportunity to participate in some truly unusual and exciting experiences. We've also tried to make participation fun and competitive with unique features like our auctions where members bid points against other members for unique experiences, memorabilia and merchandise."

All SportsLine Rewards program members earn points for simply visiting CBS SportsLine for the latest scores, news and statistics, playing daily trivia games, referring their friends to the program, purchasing selected merchandise from The Sports Store (http://shop.sportsline.com), buying fantasy sports products, and enrolling for services provided by program partners. In addition, all members can earn up to 50 entries per day in the Million-Dollar Click sweepstakes by viewing pages on the CBS SportsLine Web site.

Additionally, SportsLine Rewards Plus members get access to weekly members' only chats with sports superstars, including the first overall pick of the NBA draft, Elton Brand, on Wednesday, July 28 at 9:00 p.m. ET, ongoing opportunities to cash in or bid their points to participate in exclusive regional and national events, and chances to win exciting and unique prizes. Rewards Plus members also receive 5,000 bonus points for signing up, a free baseball cap from their favorite team, and a free one-year subscription to their choice of several sports magazines.

Beyond encouraging consumer loyalty, SportsLine USA's "SportsLine Rewards" and "SportsLine Rewards Plus" programs were designed to develop the broadest and deepest database of sports fans anywhere, and to leverage the database to enhance all aspects of SportsLine's revenue model, including creating new integrated advertising vehicles for sponsors, and maximizing e-commerce and premium service revenues. In an effort to accelerate the growth of this database, SportsLine has entered into an agreement with America Online's Digital Marketing Services Division to promote the SportsLine Rewards Plus program to AOL Rewards' member base.

While new features and benefits will continually be added to the program, including the chance to win Michael Jordan's car, some of the initial SportsLine Rewards Plus opportunities are as follows:
