SportsLine USA, Inc. Announces Executive Promotions

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (September 8, 1999)- SportsLine USA, Inc. (NASDAQ:SPLN), the leading global Internet sports media company, today announced the promotions and appointments of several senior executives in its Fort Lauderdale headquarters and New York sales office.

James W. Bracken has been promoted to the position of Vice President, Engineering and Operations. In this capacity, he oversees all e-commerce technical development and production infrastructure for all of the SportsLine Web sites at the Company's Fort Lauderdale headquarters. He joined the Company as Director, Engineering in August 1997. Prior to joining SportsLine, Mr. Bracken served as a department head for GE Information Services' Worldwide Messaging Solutions, where he led both Engineering & Marketing teams responsible for both Web-based and traditional messaging services.

Also in Fort Lauderdale, Stephen Snyder was promoted to the position of Vice President, Production. He is responsible for the planning and execution of content production for SportsLine's family of destination web sites, partner sites and syndication. Mr. Snyder joined the Company in January 1998 when SportsLine acquired GolfWeb, for which he was the Director of Site Development. For the past year, he has served as Director of Content Engineering for SportsLine. Prior to joining GolfWeb in September 1996, Mr. Snyder held various technical and management positions with McDonnell Douglas Aerospace Corporation and received his MBA from Stanford University in 1996.

SportsLine USA also announced three promotions in its New York sales office:

Thomas Arrix was appointed Vice President, National Sales. Mr. Arrix joins SportsLine USA after an eight-year career (1991 -1999) with Turner Broadcasting System, where he was Vice President of Turner Sports Sales in New York. Mr. Arrix's experiences also extended to Turner Entertainment.

Stephen G. Flanagan was promoted to Vice President, Sales, from the position of Eastern Sales Manager, which he held since he joined SportsLine USA in January 1997. Mr. Flanagan has more than 17 years of senior sales, marketing and management experience with Time Warner; Time In-Store Marketing as Regional Vice President of Sales; Cardmember Publishing Company, as Vice President and General Manager; and Heritage Media/Actmedia, where he held a number of sales and marketing positions, ending as Group Sales Manager/Director of Advertising Programs.

Mark McGinty was promoted to Vice President, Golf Division. Mr. McGinty joined SportsLine USA as General Manager, Golf, in November 1998. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. McGinty enjoyed twenty years of sales and sales management success in the publishing field, including the launch of USA Today and The National Sports Daily. From 1990 to 1998, Mr. McGinty served in a number of positions, including Eastern Regional Manager for the New York Times Magazine Group, Golf Digest/Golf World Division. Previously, he was an Associate Manager at The National Sports Daily.
