SportsLine Europe Announces Plans for Top Soccer Site

Company Plans Comprehensive Coverage of the World's Most Popular Sport
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (July 8, 1999)- SportsLine Europe Limited, a majority-owned subsidiary of SportsLine USA, Inc. (NASDAQ:SPLN), the leading global Internet sports company, today announced plans to create the world's most comprehensive soccer site, which will debut this summer as part of its network of European sports web sites.

For the past two years, SportsLine has produced and programmed Soccernet, on behalf of Associated New Media and London's Daily Mail. SportsLine brought a global audience to Soccernet, and developed the unique applications that took the site from obscurity to the best English Premier League site in the world.

SportsLine was responsible for all of the exciting features of the Soccernet site as well as the vast majority of revenue for the site. Over the past two years, SportsLine has created the Internet's largest soccer store, the most complete scoring and statistical applications, online games, community and fantasy products and combined these compelling applications with certain editorial provided by the Daily Mail. As a result of SportsLine's aggressive expansion into Europe, SportsLine has elected not to renew its affiliation with the Daily Mail when its agreement expires later this summer.

With complete ownership of its new site, and the acquisition of Infosis Sport, SportsLine Europe will incorporate the best of Soccernet, along with more comprehensive real-time scores, statistics, match reports and features, to create the deepest, most up-to-date coverage of the world's most popular sport. SportLine's new soccer site will launch in early August and focus beyond the English Premier League, to include expanded soccer coverage throughout Europe, as sports fans across the continent look ahead to next summer's major soccer event, Euro 2000.

"Combining the real-time scoring of Infosis Sport, the editorial content of SportsWeb and SportsLine's own unique features will enable us to create an unmatched site," said Tom Jessiman, managing director of SportsLine Europe Limited. "With our learning experience from producing a top-notch soccer site, we have already generated the most soccer revenue of any Internet company through advertising, fantasy and e-commerce. SportsLine Europe's new fully-owned soccer site will be a fan favorite in Europe."
