Athletics pitcher Scott Kazmir (shoulder) threw a 30-pitch bullpen session on Sunday and said it went well, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

"It was a relief how great everything felt," he said.

Kazmir underwent an MRI on his throwing shoulder after leaving his last start with tightness, but the testing revealed no structural damage. Manager Bob Melvin previously said that the pitcher would probably have his next start skipped, but it's unclear if his positive bullpen session will alter those plans. Kazmir owns a 2.93 ERA and 57:25 K:BB ratio in 58 1/3 innings.
