Cardinals second baseman Kolten Wong is out of the lineup for the third straight game on Wednesday. Wong, who is dealing with a tight calf muscle, was considered a healthy scratch from Monday's lineup. But he did not play on Tuesday and is out again on Wednesday afternoon against the Cubs.

Wong has been hitting the ball well lately, batting .351 (13 for 37) over his last 10 games.

With Wong out, Matt Carpenter has shifted over to second base while Mark Reynolds gets the start at the hot corner.
