Class A Lynchburg no-hits Wilmington two consecutive games

More Minors: Dylan Bundy dominating in Class A

The Lynchburg Hillcats (Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Braves) threw a no-hitter against the Wilmington Blue Rocks (Royals affiliate) on Thursday night ( box score). And then again on Friday night ( box score).

On Thursday, Lucas Sims was the starter for the Hillcats and he worked seven hitless innings -- though he did allow a run, thanks in part to four walks. Alex Wilson came on to finish things up with two hitless, scoreless innings of his own en route to a 5-1 victory.

Friday, Cody Scarpetta dominated for seven innings, allowing only a walk while striking out seven. Benino Pruneda would follow with two hitless innings of his own and the back-to-back no-hitters were complete.

The Blue Rocks have a few name prospects in Raul Mondesi and Bubba Starling.
