Clayton Kershaw responds to Mo'ne Davis' pitch-off challenge
Dodgers' ace Clayton Kershaw has responded to Little League star Mo'ne Davis' pitch-off challenge.
As you may have heard, 13-year-old Mo'ne Davis led her Philadelphia area team to the Little League World Series this month. Her pitching brilliance punched the Taney Dragons' ticket to Williamsport.
Following a complete-game shutout in the Mid-Atlantic Final, Davis challenged Dodgers' ace Clayton Kershaw to a pitch-off. His response? Watch in this video. Here's the text, courtesy of CBS Philly's Andrew Porter:
“Hey Mo’ne, just wanted to say congratulations on making it Williamsport. That’s awesome, such a cool thing for you to get to do. Such a fun opportunity and I heard you’re ready for a pitch off. I don’t know exactly what that means, but I’m prepared. I’m ready for whenever you can make it out to LA, just let me know.”
Davis and the rest of the Dragons begin Little League World Series this Friday against South Nashville (Southeast).
