Kris Bryant was not even in the big leagues on Opening Day and now the Cubs third baseman is not only the likely NL Rookie of the Year, but he also has the most popular player jersey of 2015.

MLB announced Monday that Bryant had the best-selling player jersey of the season based on data from the MLB.com shop. It's the first time a rookie has ever had the most popular jersey since MLB started tracking sales in 2010. Bryant's also the youngest player to have the most popular jersey.

Here are the 20 most popular jerseys of the 2015 season:

1.    Kris Bryant, Chicago Cubs
2.    Madison Bumgarner, San Francisco Giants
3.    Buster Posey, San Francisco Giants
4.    Clayton Kershaw, Los Angeles Dodgers
5.    Mike Trout, Los Angeles Angels
6.    Bryce Harper, Washington Nationals
7.    Hunter Pence, San Francisco Giants
8.    Anthony Rizzo, Chicago Cubs
9.    Matt Harvey, New York Mets
10.  Andrew McCutchen, Pittsburgh Pirates
11.  David Wright, New York Mets
12.  Josh Donaldson, Toronto Blue Jays
13.  Todd Frazier, Cincinnati Reds
14.  David Ortiz, Boston Red Sox
15.  Yadier Molina, St. Louis Cardinals
16.  Carlos Correa, Houston Astros
17.  Jacob deGrom, New York Mets
18.  Dustin Pedroia, Boston Red Sox
19.  Felix Hernandez, Seattle Mariners
20.  Albert Pujols, Los Angeles Angels

I suppose the only real surprise is that there are no Yankees among the top 20. The club always does well in merchandise sales. Then again, with Derek Jeter retired, I suppose there is no one on the roster with a high-demand jersey.
