Dodgers place Ted Lilly on disabled list
Yet another Dodger has been injured. This time, lefty Ted Lilly is headed to the DL with a neck sprain.
The Dodgers have placed veteran lefty Ted Lilly on the 15-day disabled list with a neck sprain. The move is retroactive to June 5.
To replace Lilly, the Dodgers have recalled right-hander Matt Magill, who will start against the Braves on Sunday. This season, the 23-year-old Magill has made five spot starts for the Dodgers, and in those starts he's posted 6.38 ERA. Chief among his problems is that he's issued 21 unintentional walks in 24 innings.
As for Lilly, the 37-year-old has pitched to a 5.09 ERA, 1.61 WHIP and 1.80 K/BB ratio this season. He becomes the ninth Dodger currently on the DL.
