With 42 career home runs spread across parts of 10 big-league seasons, Athletics infielder Adam Rosales is not a frequent denizen of home run-related leaderboards. When it comes to getting around the bases with a sense of urgency, though, Rosales is unrivaled in today's game.

Rosales was already the owner of the single fastest trip around the bases Saturday when he stepped in against Ariel Miranda of the Mariners. As you're about to see, Rosales laid into one and then let his inner Camaro T-top fly ...

That man can handle the corners. Also, massive props for almost taking off the arm of third base coach Chip Hale at the shoulder. And, yes, as you can see above, that's a record 15.9 seconds.

As Cut4 points out, Rosales broke his own record for haste and is otherwise prominent on the Statcast-era leaderboard. My wish is that Rosales one day angers a pitcher by rounding the bases without the proper post-home run sense of regret and solemnity, and then we learn that any trot that spans between 17 and 24 seconds is sufficiently Puritanical and thus not a gesture of grave disrespect. Wander outside those boundaries in either direction, however, and umbrage shall be taken, fingers shall be wagged. Plenty of batsmen have raised hackles by going too slow, but perhaps Rosales will pioneer pitcher offense-seeking in the other direction.

In any event, look at him go, man.
